Titrets: Titrimetric Analysis
Titret ampoules use reverse titration to quantify concentrations. The ampoule contains a printed scale along its side and contains an indicator solution in addition to the reagent to signify the end point. To perform the test, attach the valve assembly to the ampoule, and snap the tip below the surface of the sample. The sample is drawn into the titret in small doses precisely controlled by hand (using Titrettor device), until a colour change occurs. At the end point, hold the ampoule upright. The liquid level will correspond to the printed scale on the ampoule's outer surface.
