STANDARD CONDITIONS OF SALE
The acceptance of any order is on the understanding that the buyer agrees to
the following conditions and terms of sale.
PRICES.
All prices quoted are exclusive of any applicable Value Added Tax. The buyer
is required to pay any tax, duty or other government charge levied. Quotations
are only valid 30 days, or until earlier acceptance by the buyer. Laboratory
Analysis Ltd reserves the right to vary prices at any time in its discretion,
including any additional costs in packing or transport. Laboratory Analysis
Ltd reserves the right to impose a minimum order quantity or handling charge
for any products or services supplied. All carriage is chargeable.
QUOTATIONS & INVOICES.
Quotations are subject to confirmation on receipt of order and the right is
reserved to amend any accidental errors or omissions on quotations and invoices.
Where goods are sold by reference to a description in a catalogue, the goods
are sold subject to tolerances and variations expressed or implied in the catalogue.
Laboratory Analysis Ltd reserves the right to invoice the buyer before delivery
of goods.
DELIVERY.
Whilst every effort is made to adhere to delivery dates, no liability can be
accepted in case of non-delivery, or delayed delivery. Shortages or errors
must be notified in writing within three days of receipt of consignment. Small
order charge of £5.00 will be levied on orders under £250.00.
Certain products carry additional carriage costs, notification of this will be on the product page itself.
DAMAGE, OR LOSS IN TRANSIT.
All breakages within must be reported to us within three days of receipt of
goods. Damaged goods and packaging must be retained for inspection.
RETURN OF GOODS.
No goods returned will be accepted unless agreed arrangements have been made.
Laboratory Analysis Ltd reserve the right to charge a restocking or handling
fee. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that goods returned to Laboratory
Analysis Ltd are free from biological and chemical hazard. A signed certificate
of chemical or biological decontamination must accompany such returned goods.
We reserve the right to refuse to accept goods which in our view present a
hazard to our staff or which may infringe the Health & Safety at Work Act.
SUPPLY OF CHEMICALS
The items supplied by Laboratory Analysis Ltd are intended for laboratory experiment
use only and are not intended to be used with food and drink for human consumption
or for use as drugs. Any order for a substance that may be used for illicit
purposes may be subject to controls on supply. The buyer agrees to provide full
information including name and address, status, Business or profession, and
the purpose for which each substance is required. Any advice or recommendation
given by the seller for the storage, application or use of the goods which is
entirely at the buyer’s own risk. The seller shall not be liable for any
such advice or recommendation not confirmed in writing.
PAYMENT.
The buyer shall pay the price of goods and any other additional transportation
and packaging costs within 30 days of the invoice date. For new accounts, approved
trade and bankers’ references should accompany orders in order that a
credit account may be opened. If the purchaser fails to make payment on the
due date, then Laboratory Analysis Ltd will be entitled to cancel the contract
or suspend any further deliveries to the buyer. Laboratory Analysis Ltd reserves
the right to charge the purchaser interest on the amount unpaid.
PROPERTY OF GOODS.
Goods remain the property of Laboratory Analysis Ltd until full payment has
been received from the buyer.
DUTY OF CARE
The purchaser has a responsibility to ensure all goods supplied, especially
hazardous chemicals are stored and used responsibly, and the appropriate precautions
are taken. Laboratory Analysis Ltd responsibility is limited to the supply
of goods in the kind and quality ordered and all consequential or resulting
liability is expressly excluded.
WARRANTY
Any warranty whether specific or implied in respect of any product supplied
by Laboratory Analysis Ltd shall be dependent upon correct installation and
operation by the purchaser.
POISONS
No orders for Substances included in Schedule 1 (S1) of the Poisons Rules under
section 7 of the Poisons Act 1972 will be accepted unless they are accompanied
by a statement signed by the purchaser in his own handwriting, stating name
in full, address, trade, business or profession and the purpose for which the
substances are required. Poisons may at no time be sold as a cash transaction.
